10 killed in mine explosion in southwestern China

BEIJING. KAZINFORM - An explosion and fire in a coal mine in southwest China's Guizhou Province killed 10 people on Wednesday morning, Xinhua news reported.
According to local authorities, 130 miners were in a bottom hole at the time of the explosion, 120 of them managed to escape from the rubbles, Itar-Tass reports. The incident occurred in the coal mine owned by Guizhou Hualong Coal Industry Co. Ltd, a joint venture of the local coal company and the Hong Kong China Resources Power Holdings Co. Ltd.
