1 726 killed in road accidents in Kazakhstan for 8 months of 2012
ASTANA. September 12. KAZINFORM As the figures of the road traffic accidents databank indicate, 8 376 car accidents were registered for the past 8 months of 2012 in Kazakhstan against 6 903 registered in the analogous period of the last year, the committee on legal statistics and special records of the Kazakh Prosecutor General's Office said.
The most accidents occurred in Almaty city up to 1 579. 1 060 incidents were registered in South Kazakhstan, 926 in Almaty, 615 in East Kazakhstan, 623 in Pavlodar and 513 in Zhambyl regions.
10 381 people, including 1 951 minors were injured in road traffic accidents in 2012 against 7 957 and 1044 in 2011 correspondingly. 1 726, including 171 minors died in car accidents this year against 1 582 and 115 in 2011.
