1,655 batches of food products prohibited in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. July 16. KAZINFORM - Since the beginning of 2013 in Kazakhstan has been banned realization of 1655 batches of food products. The chairman of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies Ryskeldy Satbayev said at a briefing on the results of 6 months of 2013.
Of 327 inspections at enterprises that distribute food products, breaches have been identified in 191 cases, accounting for 58.4 percent of the total number of inspections.
Mr. Satbayev voiced a number of examples of violations committed by companies, indicating the nature of the irregularities.
In general, the results of six months allowed for preventing from sale of 1655 batches of food that do not meet the technical regulations, worth more than KZT 285 million. To administrative responsibility have been brought 204 people with imposing fines totaling more than KZT 22 million.
