KHL: HC Barys Astana are the oldest team in the league

ASTANA. September 19. KAZINFORM HC Barys Astana is the only team in the Kontinental Hockey League with average age of players slightly higher that 30 years-old.
The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) released numbers on average age of hockey players in the league Wednesday, Kazinform has learnt from Vesti.kz.
The average age of KHL players , as of September 18, went up in comparison with the last season and stands now at 27.62-years-old. The oldest team this season is HC Barys Astana where the average age of players is at 30.17-years-old. Barys is followed by Donbass and Traktor with average age of the teams at 29.2-years-old and 29.03-years-old respectively.
HC Sibir turned out to be the youngest; its roaster is 25.94-years-old. Metallurg and Neftekhimik hockey clubs are also in the top 3 youngest squads of the KHL.
