Kazakhstan to cover need for light oil products by 2022

"We've already commenced the modernization of three oil refineries. Capacity of the Pavlodar oil refinery is believed to hit 7 million tons after the modernization. As for the Shymkent refinery and the Atyrau one, the capacity will increase by 6 million tons and more than 5 million tons accordingly. By 2022 Kazakhstan will fully cover the need for light petroleum products," Mr. Mynbayev said at a press briefing of the Central Communications Service.
