ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan may face gas shortage by 2024," Kazakh Oil and Gas Minister Uzakbai Karabalin said today in Astana.
According to him, gas re-injection volume growth fuels its scarcity. About 90% of gas produced in Kazakhstan is associated gas. Considerable increase in re-injection volumes up to 30% and notable increase in feed gas home consumption against the current rates may lead to gas shortage in Kazakhstan by 2024," he added.
