Kazakhstan is a friend, partner and ally for Belarus - Aleksandr Lukashenko

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Timur Zhaksylykov presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko. During the ceremony held in the Presidential Palace of Independence, Aleksandr Lukashenko said that Kazakhstan was an important, time-tested friend, strategic partner and ally for Belarus, Kazinform News Agency learned from the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

According to the Belarusian President, the high dynamics of cooperation is evidenced by the annual billion-dollar trade turnover and successful projects in industrial cooperation.

Aleksandr Lukashenko also thanked the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, for a comprehensive support provided to Belarus during Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

At the end of the ceremony, the Belarusian leader conveyed his warm greetings to the President of Kazakhstan and wished the Kazakh Ambassador successful and fruitful work for the benefit of strengthening the Kazakh-Belarusian cooperation.

Ahead of the SCO Summit in Astana, the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, told Kazinform about the potential of the SCO, the advantages of the SCO membership for the Republic of Belarus, global and food security and cooperation with Kazakhstan.
