Kazakh parliamentarians consider bill on precious metals

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Ministry for Investments and Development of Kazakhstan has introduced the bill "On precious metals and stones" at the plenary session of Majilis, lower chamber of the Kazakh Parliament today.

Vice Minister Albert Rau, who introduced the bill, said it is aimed at establishment of unified legal framework that will regulate social relations in the sphere of transactions in precious stones and metals. It is expected that the national legislation will be brought in sync with norms of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). The bill will help create conditions for the development of jewelry industry in Kazakhstan. The bill will be considered by a working group headed by Majilis deputy Nikolai Kuzmin.
