Joint communique of CIS Council of Heads of Government released

On October 26, the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) took place under the Kyrgyz presidency at the Ala Archa State Residence in Bishkek. During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on prospects and measures for strengthening cooperation between the CIS member countries in different areas, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

During the event, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov said that during the meeting an exchange of views on prospects and measures for strengthening cooperation between the CIS member countries in trade and economic and cultural and humanitarian spheres under new conditions took place.

Following the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS States, 14 documents were signed and adopted, said the speaker.

According to Akylbek Japarov, the meeting’s outcome document was the joint communique of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States, reflecting the sides’ coordinated positions on the current issues of the agenda as well as further development of multifaceted cooperation within the CIS.

The report of the CIS Secretariat on measures and meetings held within the realization of the Program of multilateral trade and economic cooperation of the CIS member states was passed, reports on the activity of the Interbank Association and CIS Business Council were heard, he said.

It is worth noting that constructive dialogue on the wide range of issues of global and regional development, including the current aspects of development of trade and economic and cultural and humanitarian cooperation was held.

Earlier it was reported that a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) had begun its work at the Ala-Archa state residence.
