Infecundity must be considered national problem: Kazakh Healthcare Minister

ALMATY. April 24. KAZINFORM ./Aigul Turysbekova/ ?The infecundity can be classified as a national problem. Wide usage of additional reproductive technologies could be an effective way of solution of the problem. It is necessary to include them into the list of free medical care?, Kazakh Minister of Healthcare Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev has said today at the visiting session of the members of the Social Council under the ?Nur Otan? Party?s fraction in the Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament) in Almaty.
The method exists in the country but it is not available for socially vulnerable layers of the population. The Minister noted that a range of issues, requiring legislative action, exists in the field of protection of reproductive health of the population. Thus, it is necessary to take measures on the inter-ministerial level on improvement of the reproductive health of the population and stimulation of birth rate.
The Head of the Ministry considers that the development of regulatory bases, where support of pregnant women will be obligatory, must become one of the directions of the social responsibility of the Government. Support of women, working during prenatal period, and application of legislative measures on protection of nursing mothers is necessary as well.
